How often people take up the study of prophecy from a purely intellectual standpoint, and yet surely there is nothing to move our hearts toward God like occupation with His marvelous purpose in regard to the coming of His own blessed Son into the world again and the setting up of His glorious kingdom.ĭaniel felt in his soul that the people were not in a fit state for restoration, and he took the place of confession before God.
